In a Cave, a Voice is a bold experiment in storytelling which strips away any references to modernity to find kinship with a character whose life and world could not be more different from our own. Exploring themes of isolation, imagination, hope and sorrow, it nonetheless resonates with a modern audience in unexpected ways.
After winning the Pembroke Players Playwriting Award, the piece premiered at the National Student Drama Festival 2021 as an audio play, with original music, to glowing reviews. It was adapted for live performance for Brighton Fringe 2022, where it was nominated for the Brighton International Fringe Encore Award in association by Soho Playhouse, NYC.
