“I don’t know how to speak when I’m not speaking to you.”

Same Sky is a tender, beautiful examination of time, language and living with (and without) each other. We follow a pair of friends from childhood to middle age (and back round again) as they grow up, grow apart, fall away – and try to rebuild…

A little bit lyrical, a little bit fantastical, Same Sky is the debut full-length play by writer Simon Vickery. Developed by its team from a short piece performed in London, Chalk Roots Theatre with special thanks to Hannah Benjamin now bring the full production to the stage.

Directed by Saulius Kovalskas (The Pelican, YATI, Far Away, Balcony Theatre, Lithuania, and multiple international award-winning audio dramas), starring Ellie Madden (Don’t Stop for Greenpeace, Breaking News, Peckham & Camden Fringes, Kaspar and the Sea of Houses, Barons Court Theatre) and Vee Tames (Oedipus at Colonus, Cambridge Arts Theatre, Mary Stuart, Fireside Theatre, developmental projects with the NT, NT Studio and Theatre Royal Stratford East. Produced by Justin Treadwell (Journey to Venice, Finborough Theatre, UNION, Arcola Theatre) for Chalk Roots Theatre
